Geosynthetic Clay Liner

Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL) is a blanket-like material created by evenly mixing bentonite with specific additives and then encapsulating it between two layers of high-tensile geotextiles. Upon contact with water, the bentonite swells and, when compacted, forms a dense gel that enhances the material’s sealing, reinforcing, and isolating capabilities. This unique structure not only provides effective soil and rock reinforcement but also offers excellent resistance to seepage, making it an ideal solution for a variety of containment and waterproofing applications.
